Mutability

Our design focuses on the freedom of space. Based on a Mies van de Rohe plan, Mutability emphasizes the minimalism of structure, and seamless transition between living space and the outdoors. Partitions separate living areas without encumbering flow from room to room, and a natural stone wall erodes to form a water feature on the patio.
To accentuate his playboy lifestyle, our client has requested a very open floorplan with unfixed furniture to provide maximum flexibility. The design may seem sparse, but the presence of people attending nightly cocktail parties will fill any open space.
