Our first project was to create a container to hold an item using 1/32″ plywood and no extra hardware, glue, or tape.
On Monday Allan Wexler came to campus to give a workshop on site specific installation of sculpture and public works projects. The grad students from the furniture department, Sarah, and I spent about five hours doing concept sketches, discussion, and installation/creation of sculpture with specific relevance to different areas of the art building.

In 2007 when the fires hit San Diego pretty hard I found myself in the basement hallway painting some roses on the wall.
I just added three old projects, and the “in progress” images from a new project.
I ran track and cross country in high school. I was never great, in fact during senior year I was flat out terrible, but usually did well enough to keep the coaches satisfied. One meet in particular I remember surprising everyone.
The Portfolio section is up and running. I have four new projects that need to be photographed, and two old projects to be re-photographed, before its completely up to date.
Recently I was tasked with explaining who I really am. I was fairly uncomfortable answering the question, because it felt like I had been unwillingly placed on a therapist’s sofa. However I understand that self discovery may make my work more meaningful, so I will be using the blog section as a tool for further exploration.
